Schools for Specific Purposes offer intensive support to meet the needs of children Kindergarten to year 12, with severe physical or multiple disabilities, an illness, or special needs.

St George School is a special public school, located in Kogarah NSW for students with severe physical and multiple disabilities from preschool to year 12 in a safe and supportive environment.
Bates Drive School is located in Kareela NSW and caters for students with disabilities and special needs. The school provides individual programs in a nurturing environment to enable each child to reach their full potential.
Cairnsfoot School is located in Brighton Le Sands NSW and provides support for students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities with many students also having additional needs.
St George Hospital School is located within the St George Hospital and provides a caring and supportive learning environment for students who are in hospital, as well as students transitioning back to their schools after hospitalisation.
Holroyd School is located in Merrylands NSW and caters for students with moderate or severe intellectual disability. Many of the students have secondary or underlying conditions such as Autism, Downs Syndrome, debilitative medical conditions, challenging behaviours and physical disabilities.
Les Powell School is located in Mount Pritchard NSW and provides support for students with low moderate to severe intellectual disability. All students have additional needs such as Autism, sensory impairment, challenging behaviour, mental health, physical and language disability.
The Hills School is located in Northmead NSW and caters for students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, Autism and complex needs including physical disability, sensory impairment and health care needs.
Wangee Park School is located in Campsie NSW and provides educational support for 50 students from kindergarten to year 12 who have moderate to severe intellectual disabilities and Autism.
The Sutherland Hospital School is located within the Sutherland Hospital and provides a stand-alone class to support students with complex social/emotional and medical needs.
Minerva School is located in Sutherland NSW and provides educational support for 50 students from kindergarten to year 12 with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, autism and emotional disturbances.
Caroline Chisholm School is located in Padstow NSW catering for the needs of students with moderate to severe intellectual disability and complex learning needs.
Lucas Gardens School is a medium/high support needs comprehensive coed school for Specific Purposes in Canada Bay
